So you want to become an Amazon FBA Seller? Great! Now you can live out the fantasy of running a business with relatively little involvement. However, there are pitfalls.
Setting yourself apart from the competition.
How do you set yourself apart from the competition, when along with many other sellers are are sourcing the same products (from the very same manufacturers) and allowing Amazon to handle the delivery? Below are 3 ways.
In order to set yourself apart you will need to make sure that your branding is front and center on everything you sell. You can do this with the packaging (more on this in a minute ), but also by putting your branding on the thing itself. One of the best ways to do this is to buy white label products and brand them. A good source of white label products is from Alibaba. That means the company will not use its own branding anywhere, and will allow you to use yours.
Next up is customer service and how well you treat your customer. This is one of the easiest ways to set yourself apart from others. If your customers have questions or complaints you will need to make sure that there is someone available to answer those questions as soon as possible. At a bare minimum you will want an email address where they can reach you and if possible and telephone number. Fantastic customer service will ensure your customer feels confident about handing their hard earned money over to you. Good customer service will insure that your customer will have a good experience and even possibly provide you with repeat business.
Packaging is something that's highly important when it comes to selling anything especially if you're selling white label products.
How your item is packaged can make a difference. Packaging can make an item seem more premium, can make it more enjoyable to open and can strengthen your brand. At the same time you will this way be able to strengthen your brand and get free advertising.
Obviously, with Amazon FBA the box that your item is shipped in will arrive in a box branded by Amazon. However that does not mean you cannot make an impression with your items packaging.
As you probably know by now, being an Amazon FBA Seller can be profitable, but it will require some work for you to be successful.
